Governor Udom Emmanuel Assures Rural Communities of Access Roads

In keeping with his campaign promise, Divine Mandate 2015, Akwa Ibom State Governor Mr. Udom Emmanuel has reiterated his commitment to upgrade roads in the rural communities of the State.

He said that rural areas deserve access roads to compliment electricity which has witnessed significant improvement and that to boost the economy of the State his administration has put in place a Technical Committee on Agriculture and Food Sufficiency.

He stated this at Awa-Iman his home town where he attended the dedication of Little Miss Precious Sunday Johnny, daughter of his Cousin held at The Apostolic Mount Olive Church.

The Governor lauded the General-Overseer of the Church Apostle (Dr.) David Udo Udo for his commitment to the service in the Lords vineyard and for establishing a branch of the Church in Awa-Iman community. He called on the Church and other religious leaders to continually pray for those in authority and the success of his administration.

In his homily Dr. Udo Udo admonished parents to be of sound moral standing in the upbringing of children as they are prone to taking after their parents in conduct. He noted that good upbringing is the panacea to a stable and peaceful future for the State and Country. The parents of Little Miss Precious Johnny thanked God for the gift of the baby and promised to groom her with the fear of the Lord.

Earlier in his address, the General-Overseer congratulated the Governor on his victory at the polls and his maiden visit to the Church. Apostle Udo who was obviously excited at the presence of the State Chief Executive in his Church prayed God to grant the Governor a peaceful and successful tenure.
